Brittany Matthews is nostalgic for the speed at which her 7-month-old daughter Sterling is growing up, sharing her mixed feelings on Instagram.

The mother-of-one posted an adorable photo of baby Sterling on Tuesday, which she shares with her NFL husband Patrick Mahomes, writing: “Can’t believe my daughter turned 7 months old yesterday.” In another picture of her daughter, the fitness instructor wrote, “This girl is worth it and fills my heart with so much love.”

Oh ! It’s clear how much Matthews and Mahomes are infatuated with Sterling, whose kindness they regularly display on Instagram. She looks like a pretty sweet kid, although Matthews has admitted that life with a new baby isn’t always perfect, and she’s going through some rough times as well.

“Yeah, I got them,” Matthews admitted to a fan who asked him to share his “mom struggles” on social media. “But I choose not to talk about it here. It is my personal choice. I try not to make everything look perfect, I’m sorry if I do, because you’re right. This is not the case for everything.

Case in point: Later that day, after gushing out of Sterling, Matthews uploaded a Boomerang video to his Instagram Stories with his side-eyed expression. “Dear mothers, how can we not get tired? Lol ”, she captioned her image.

Sterling, like many other moms, experiences the roller coaster known as new parenthood – sometimes it’s just hugs and kindness; other times it’s layers exploding and cries of colic. And the exhaustion that comes with caring for a little human being is intense. But it’s definitely worth it!
